"Her dexterous way with words and music is frequently thrilling. She’s a consummate live performer too."
Journal of Music
"One of the most versatile and consistent acts of the past five years. Comfortable weaving between genres, it’s this unpredictability that makes her so exciting."
Paste Magazine
"Celaviedmai loves to keep her listeners guessing, defying any attempt to pigeonhole her talent... she can be both witty and arrestingly poignant."
Celaviedmai has become one of the most exciting names in the Irish music industry and one of the only female rappers to achieve such a feat. 2023 has been her biggest year yet, selected as the opening act for Kelis in the Guinness Storehouse Dublin, announced as a Breakthrough 2023 artist with GAY TIMES and Coca Cola which will see her play at Longitude (IE), Electric Picnic (IE), All Points East (UK) and Boardmasters (UK), in addition to a number of exciting shows in Ireland and across Europe and a highly anticipated second EP on the way.
Celaviedmai is recognised for her hard-hitting lyricism, incomparable stage presence and impressive performance history from Trafalgar Square London to the National Concert Hall Dublin. Unlike many rappers, Mai performs her vocals live, with live instruments and gives her authentic self to the crowd every single time with unbelievable energy. She has earned her stripes via festival stages, headlining her own shows and opening for artists such as Lil Wayne, Mac Miller, Tinchy Stryder and Nova Twins.
Born and raised in Galway, her music is celebrated for blending genres within urban contemporary music and she often combines English, French and Irish in her lyrics - paying homage to her Ivorian roots. Celaviedmai is inspired by an array of music from around the world, and artists such as Missy Elliot, J Hus, Azealia Banks, Kaytranada, Doechii and Burna Boy.
